What is Arkyvst?
A lightweight way to tag and find any file in Google Drive — no Google Enterprise required.
Arkyvst is a Chrome extension that adds tagging and tag-based search to Google Drive. Google Drive can only search inside text documents — it can't find a photo, video, or audio clip by what's in it. Arkyvst fixes that: you add your own tags (client, project, status, or anything), then find files instantly by combining those tags from a sidebar that lives right inside Drive.
What you can do
- Tag any file — photos, videos, audio, Docs, Sheets, Slides, PDFs, anything Drive holds.
- Search and filter by your tags, combined with text search.
- Clear a backlog of untagged files fast with the Untagged Inbox.
- Group files into Collections and open them together in Drive.
- On Team plans, share one tag library with your whole workspace.
What makes it different
It's a thin layer over your own Drive, not another storage silo. Your files never move and Arkyvst never reads their contents — it works with file metadata and the tags you add. There's no enterprise plan to buy and nothing to migrate.
