How tagging works

A tag is just a short label you attach to a file — client-acme, final, hero-image. A file can have as many tags as you like, and you can invent tags on the fly or pick from your saved-tag library.

Where tags come from

• Typed tags — type anything in the tag box and press Enter.
• Saved tags — one-click chips you've added to your library. See Saved tags and categories.

Tags follow you, not the device

Your tags and library sync through Arkyvst's secure backend, so they show up on every device where you sign in with the same account. On a Team plan, tags on shared files are visible to your whole workspace. Access is scoped to your workspace, so no one outside it can see your tags.
