Group files into Collections

Gather related files into a named group and open them together in Drive.

A Collection is a named group of files that may live in different folders. It's handy for a project, a deliverable, or anything you want to pull up as a set without moving files around.

Create and manage

  1. Open the Collections tab in the sidebar.
  2. Create a collection and add files to it.
  3. Open a collection to jump to its files in Drive.

Collections sit alongside tags — a file can be in a collection and carry tags too. Use tags for cross-cutting labels you search by, and collections for hand-picked sets.

Share a collection

When you open a collection's folder in Drive — or simply select the folder in the file list — a share pill appears at the bottom of the page with two actions: copy the share link, or send it by email.

You can share a collection with someone — see Workspaces and how tag sharing works.
