Clear your backlog with the Untagged Inbox

The Untagged Inbox is built for one job: clearing a pile of untagged files without opening them one at a time. It watches the folders you pick, gathers everything that still needs tags, and shows them as thumbnails you can work through in batches.

Set it up

1. In Settings, choose the folders where new files land — Arkyvst watches every subfolder beneath them too. See Choose which folders Arkyvst watches.
2. Open the Untagged Inbox from the Tagging tab. Untagged files appear as thumbnails.

Work through it

• Go by most-recently-added or by subfolder, in batches.
• Select several thumbnails at once and apply shared tags in a single click.
• Files that don't need tags: just leave them untagged. When you click Finish batch, anything still untagged is automatically marked reviewed (after a quick confirmation) and drops out of the inbox — there's nothing to mark by hand.

A count badge shows how many untagged files are waiting, so you always know how much is left. The list refreshes as new files arrive in the watched folders.
